Sound Recording and Mixing
Recording sound on a set is one of the hardest jobs to master in media production, but the job demand is high. In Sound 101: Sound Recording and Mixing, you’ll learn the best techniques from one of the best sound mixers in Iowa, using the latest sound equipment available. You’ll learn about different kinds of microphones, boom poles, audio mixers and audio recorders—and which ones to use in different situations. You’ll also learn how to trouble-shoot potential problems on set to get the cleanest sound possible. If you love audio, this workshop is for you. Register here

Production Assistant Boot Camp
The position of a Production Assistant in a crew is a great entry-level job in the industry. PA 101: Production Assistant Boot Camp is perfect for those who are interested in film and TV production but don’t know where to start. Through practical hands-on training, you’ll learn what a good PA does on a set and how to follow good set etiquette. You’ll learn about the many different crew duties, how to be useful on set, who you can and can’t talk to and, most importantly, how to find a job in the film and TV business. This boot camp is taught by people who hire PAs all the time, so come prepared to make a good impression. Register here
